The life of a female entrepreneur is definitely a tough one, ESPECIALLY if you have small kids. It’s very hard trying to juggle the kids, making dinner, cleaning their mess, and all the other things you have to do on a daily basis.
Oh and don’t forget about the husband, who also needs attention, and food.
But when you’re an entrepreneur, you can’t afford to miss an opportunity. I mean after all we all need money to survive right. Unfortunately, society (friends and family) doesn’t always understand this. Just because you decided to be a mom and a wife, doesn’t mean you can’t have career goals too.

My mom, who was raised in the south has very old school beliefs. She believes a woman is suppose to take care of the kids, cook and clean.
However, my motto is I’ll order everyone takeout and maybe I’ll cook tomorrow if I have enough time.
Does this make me a bad person? Not in my eyes it doesn’t.
When a woman is assertive in the business world she’s automatically labeled as “bitchy”. No I’m not “bitchy” I’m tired, stressed out and want things done correctly. Is that too much to ask?
However, when a man is assertive in the business world he’s considered a leader. Just more double standards.

What’s the Point?
My purpose for writing this is to let all my mommy entrepreneurs know it’s ok to have goals.
Wanting to achieve your career goals, doesn’t make you love your kids any less.
You’re not a bad mom, if you can’t provide a home cooked meal every night.
If you to go in the bathroom and pretend, you’re taking a crap just to get some me time. (which sometimes the little crumb snatchers will still follow you)
And if you decide to drink an entire bottle of wine because everyone has gotten on your nerves, that’s perfectly fine too.
I know as mother’s we tend to feel guilty when we put ourselves first sometimes. But how can we make our family happy if we can do what makes us happy too. If being a female entrepreneur is something that gives you satisfaction, do it. You only live once.
