I’m sure you have heard by now, how important it is to grow your email list when you’re a new blogger. Well, it’s true, having an email list is HUGE! But how do you get people to subscribe?
I’m going to share with you the steps I took to develop my email list quickly using high converting quizzes. In fact, my email list grew by 127 subscribers in one week!
If you’re like me, you have probably tried giving out freebies as a lead magnet. But who has time to constantly create freebies? I know I don’t. Between running after three kids, cleaning up after my husband, and running two businesses I’m exhausted.
Guess what! Let me tell you about what I did to convert my readers into subscribers. Don’t have a lot of traffic, no worries. With this method, you can increase your email list without having a ton of traffic.
I created an online quiz, and grew my email list by 127 subscribers in one week!
Why are quizzes high converting lead magnets?
Quizzes offer your readers a more personalized experience. In fact, having a quiz emulates a conversation which most readers seem to enjoy.
People like to learn things about themselves.
Quizzes also provide a personalized experience. Econsultancy.com states that personalization increases engagement increases by 74%. I mean honestly, how much attention do you pay to generic marketing strategies?
How to Add a Quiz to Your Blog
For the quiz on my blog, I use Interact. They have a free version, as well as a paid version for 29.00 per month, that gives you more control over your quiz.
Here’s step by step instructions on how to add a quiz to your blog using Interact.
The first thing you need to do, setup a Free Account with Interact
After setting up your account, you will see the following screen. From this screen, you can decide, if you want to create a quiz from scratch or use a template.
Pick your industry
Once you have chosen your category, you can then chose which type of quiz you would like to setup
Chose your template, you will then be able to customize your template to your brand colors.
Once you have completed customizing your quiz, you can then decide if you want to embed your form into your blog or have it as a popup. Interact will also give you instructions on how to embed it in your site.
My quiz is set up as a popup, so I simply went to my WordPress Dashboard, scrolled down to appearance, and select the header option.
Once you are under the Theme Settings, click on “Header and Footer Scripts” and paste your code from Interact into the Header box.
And Boom! Just like that, you’re ready to increase your email subscribers.
