Are you trying to figure out how to boost your engagement on Instagram, and increase the number of people who see your content? Well if so you are not alone. I’m going to give you a quick rundown of three ways that will help to increase your engagement and have your content seen by more people.
DELETE BOT ACCOUNTS
Table of Contents
The first thing, you want to do is delete bot accounts. What is a bot account? It is a fake account made by someone, who is using an app to sell followers to Instagram users. You can usually tell if an account is a bot account because the number of following is dramatically greater than the number of followers.
Inactive accounts also limit your reach. Therefore, you want to delete accounts that have not posted within 60-90 days. If they are not active on Instagram, it’s pretty pointless for them to be following you.
POSTING CONSISTENTLY
Posting consistently is very important. If you post twice a day on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and nothing the other days, you are shooting yourself in the foot. Instagram ranks accounts, based on your engagement with other accounts. Not to mention, you also want to keep your content in front of your audience. You have to think, its over 400 million plus users on Instagram, you need to be on point, so that people will stop scrolling, and engage with your post.
To help me with posting consistently, I have used various apps for scheduling content in the past, but my new favorite is the TailwindApp. I can plan my content out for the week, and I don’t have to worry about forgetting to post. And, it also analyzes my account to help me pick the best time to post based on when my followers are the most active.

The Tailwind App also gives you the best time to post based off your followers Instagram activity. TailwindApp currently has a FREE 30 day trial. Click Here to Claim Your FREE TRIAL.

Using the Right HashTags
It is very important to use hashtag that are relevant to your post. When choosing a hashtag you want to use one, that has been used less than 500,000 times. The less the better. Why? Because if someone is searching using a particular hashtag they have a better chance of seeing your content.
Getting Your Followers to Comment on Your Post

This one can be kind of tricky. One way I like to get my followers to comment, is to write a rather lengthy post, which for me is a post containing about 100 characters. At the end of the post, I will then proceed to ask a question, like “what you think” “has this ever happened to you?”
Powered by Creative MarketWhen they do comment, don’t be rude, make sure to engage with them. The more they see that a real person is really responding, and engaging with them, the more likely others will be to comment as well. Another good way to increase is to do a giveaway or a contest. I’m not too big on contest, but they work for some people and companies.

Why should you care if people comment on your post as long as you get likes? The simple answer is this, Instagram will put your content in front of more users, if the post has a high engagement rate.
