Table of Contents
My first-month blogging I was so concerned with making money. Instead of picking a niche I was passionate about, I decided to go with the niche that I thought had the most potential to make a quick dollar.
I decided to go all-in, writing about affiliate marketing. I was able to squeeze out one or two subpar blog post. Why? Because I had no idea what the hell I was talking about.

I basically wasted a lot of time and caused me several migraines, because I was going about blogging the wrong way.
Brainstorm Blog Post Ideas
When I started to actually sit down and brainstorm my ideas the creative juices began to flow. If you are always on the go, use your phone to jot down a couple of ideas as they come to you.
Once you start to write things down, you will see that you can create several blog post from one topic.
Here’s an example, let’s use Pinterest as a blog topic. What is some possible post could you create about Pinterest?

Increasing Your Blog Traffic

You’ve written a couple of blog post, and you are watching your stats wondering when will the traffic ever come.
Well, unfortunately, it’s not that simple. I was just like you, I wanted people to my blog traffic to increase immediately. But I failed to realize nobody knew my blog existed.
How to get people to recognize your blog.
One thing I decided to do was join Facebook groups about blogging. So every morning I would post in Facebook groups so I could share my blog post and Pinterest boards.
That’s cool and it’s a good way to increase traffic for the day, but I wanted consistent traffic.
Mastering Pinterest
In order for your blog to be successful, you need to utilize Pinterest. This is one of the most important ways to get blog traffic to a new blog.
It will take a while to start seeing large and consistent traffic from Google. So in the meantime, let’s master the hell out of Pinterest.
For now, I’m going to give a quick overview of Pinterest. To learn more about Pinterest, “Use My Pinterest Recipe to Success to Skyrocket Traffic to Your Blog”
The main components of Pinterest are pinning often and creating fresh content with good descriptions.

Using Keywords in Your Pin and Board Descriptions
To make sure your content is found on Pinterest, you want to use keywords that are related to your content. For instance, if you are a mom blogger writing about kid activities, you will want to use keywords that relate to that topic.
If you have problems finding relevant keywords you can use Pinterest’s Free Keyword Search Tool.
Pinning Consistently
Pinning consistently is the key to growing your Pinterest account. You should pin at least 30 times per day. I know that’s a lot. But here’s what you do to tackle that task.

BLOGGING COURSES
I was very skeptical about signing up for blogging courses. Because I would read about expensive blogging courses in various Facebook groups and was like whatttttttt!!! I can’t afford those prices.
Not to mention I was so afraid I would be wasting my money and my time.
However, I ran across one of Elna’s of TwinsMommy.com pins on Pinterest. I started reading a few of her blogs, and I could feel that she was genuinely trying to help bloggers and not just trying to make a quick dollar.

She gives you SO MUCH USEFUL information it’s amazing. There are other blogging courses out here, that doesn’t come close to Elna’s Ready Set Blog For Traffic Course.
